Today we went on a tour in order to fit as much as we could in one day.
The tour began in Hollywood and we took a walk along Hollywood Boulevard where we saw all the stars set into the pavement. There is only one small area where there are hand and footprints pressed into concrete. The tour took us up to an observatory from where we had a good view of the HOLLYWOOD sign as well as a panoramic view of the city itself.
We then headed back to downtown LA and then to Venice (quite tatty) where we dipped our toes in the Pacific Ocean. From there we went to Santa Monica and Beverley Hills.
Here we were able to sometimes catch a fleeting glimpse of the former home of a 'star', one or two of whom we had heard of!
Our garrulous guide (man or woman we are still unsure which) was a keen star gazer!
