Carnival time in Napier
We went into Napier for the Art Deco Festival. The main street with Art Deco buildings on both sides was closed off. Lots of people were dressed in 1920s and 1930s attire and there were street entertainers at various locations. Swing bands with dancers, barber shop choirs, rag time bands etc. Lots of shop assistants were also dressed up.
