A little further on there are lots of seals basking on the rocks and playing in the rock pools. Further on still we walked up a stream to a waterfall where baby seals are reputed to play while their mothers go out to sea to hunt. There are none today!
As we get into the Marlborough wine region we stop at Hunter's vineyard and sample some wine but do not buy.
Then we stop at Cloudy Bay vineyard, sample and then buy! We also have salmon tartare for lunch.
We head for the campsite at Nelson but decide not to stop - pitches too close, lots of children etc. The next site is full.
Somewhat in desperation we book into the next site we see. It's cheaper than we have been paying and when we get in we see why. Worse than any site in Morocco and many traveller sites. The shower and toilet facilities are however very clean. It is next to a main lorry route!

We set off the following day back into Nelson where we walk on the beach and into the town.
We then head towards Picton stopping at Havelock which is the centre of the world for green lipped mussels. Lynda partakes, I have fish and chips.
We travel the scenic route via the cliffs and shores into Picton.

We walk into the town and recce the area. Returning through the marina we spot a huge Ray swimming between the boats.
