Drove to the Victorian precinct and explored the Steampunk HQ, a kind of art gallery meets Mad Max. Lots of weird and wonderful 'machines' some with sound and movement made out of all kinds of scrap.
We head south and stop to see the Moeraki boulders - completely spherical boulders in the sand.
We travel through Dunedin and onto the Otago Peninsula to the Albatross Centre. Take a tour to the viewing hide. See parents sitting on chicks to keep them warm and the occasional juvenile soaring around the headland. Are taken into the Victorian gun emplacement where an Armstrong disappearing gun was sited to defend against the Russians.
Back to Dunedin to find a campsite.
